McAllister Cemetery Room

         McAllister is a small, family Cemetery that is on private property.  Andrew and Sarah were buried on their friends property due to Andrew's feud with the church over the principle of "grace versus works" for salvation.  Andrew believed in salvation through grace.

The marble headstone was found in pieces.  Sarah's is near by.

The stone was most likely broken by deer traveling through the Cemetery. The inscription reads: In Memory of Andrew Proudfit Who died the 30th March 1807 Aged 78 years
